우리 가족 최애 집. 삼원과 쌍벽을 이루는 맛집. 기분이 우울하고 텐션 올리고 싶을 때 무조건 여기지...ㅎㅎ 소, 돼지, 곱창, 닭... 모든 종류가 다 있고, 생고기부터 양념까지 입맛 대로 먹을 수 있다. 집에서 가깝기도 하고 서비스도 좋아서 한 달에 몇 번씩은 가는 거 같다. 어제는 돼지고기가 당겨서(?!) 돼지고기로 시작하고 곱창으로 마무리. 맛집 사진은 어제 바로 먹고 왔더라도 오늘 다시 보면 또다시 군침이 싹 돈다. 꿀꺽 침을 삼키며, 다시 한번 윤기 좔좔 고기 사진을 공유 해볼까,,,,
Our family's favorite spot. Rivals Samwon in taste. It's our go-to for a mood boost and a tension reliever... haha. They have every meat type – beef, pork, tripe, chicken – and you can choose from raw to marinated to suit your taste. It's close to home, and the service is great, so we end up going several times a month. Yesterday, we started with pork because we were craving it, and finished with tripe. Even if we just ate there yesterday, looking at the photos today makes me drool all over again. As I swallow my saliva, I think I'll share another glossy, juicy meat photo...
호치민 '뚱보집' 은 워낙 유명하고 위치가 좋아서 찾기 쉬운 편이다. 호치민 오다 가다 눈에 띄는 간판에 눈길 한번 안 준 이가 없을 듯. 그나저나 이름 너무 귀엽다. 간판도 이름만큼 뚱뚱보(?!) 스럽다. 분명 의도하고 저렇게 뚱뚱하게 디자인 했.... 을........ 했네... 했어!!😄😄The 'Chubby House' in Ho Chi Minh is quite famous and easy to find due to its prime location. Hardly anyone can miss its eye-catching sign while passing through Ho Chi Minh. The name is just too cute, and the sign is as chubby as its name suggests. It's definitely designed intentionally to look plump... indeed, it is!
내부로 들어가면 진로 파란색 개구리가 반겨준다. 항상 드는 생각인데 뚱보집과 진로는 무슨 관계일까?.... 고깃집에 주류 업체의 로비 흔적은 관례적이라지만, 저렇게 대놓고 파란색 개구리를 딱!!! 심지어 소주는 무슨 명품마냥 조명 쏘아 가며 정성 들여 디스플레이까지 해놨다.😁😁 이 정도면 '뚱보집'이 '진로' 꺼 아닐까??!ㅋㅋ
Once inside, you're greeted by Jinro's iconic blue frog. It always makes me wonder, what's the connection between Chubby House and Jinro? It's common for liquor brands to have a presence in barbecue restaurants, but here, the blue frog is prominently displayed!!! Even the soju bottles are displayed like luxury items, illuminated and carefully arranged. 😁😁 At this point, I'm starting to think Chubby House might actually belong to Jinro?! 😄😄
진로에서 미는 수박 소주인가 보다. 역시나 이쁘게 담아 웰컴 주로 주신다. 이 정도면 '뚱보집' 이 '진로' 꺼 맞는 거 같은데?!!
It seems like Jinro is promoting their watermelon soju here. As expected, they serve it as a welcome drink, beautifully presented. With this level of promotion, I'm starting to believe that Chubby House really might be owned by Jinro?!!
아이들에게는 웰컴 주 '피크닉' 주스를 주신다. 우리 아이들 항상 저거 먼저 마시고, 정작 먹어야 할 고기 적게 먹는다.ㅎㅎ사장님은 아시려나 베푸는 호의에 매출 떨어지는 소리..... 나갈 때 주시면 참 좋겠는데..말이다..ㅎㅎ 어쨌든 감사하게 먹었다.
For the kids, they provide 'Picnic' juice as a welcome drink. My kids always drink that first and end up eating less meat. 😄 I wonder if the owner realizes that this kind gesture might be reducing their meat sales... It would be nice if they offered it when we're leaving. Anyway, we're always grateful for it
들어 오자마자 시작하는 '뚱보집' 서비스는 끝이 없다. 사장님이 작은 소리로 "계란찜 서비스로 드릴까요?" 하시길래.. 나도 조용히 "네" 했건만, 나중에 보니 옆 테이블도 있고, 뒤 테이블도 있고.. ㅎ뭐지?!! 이럴 거면 왜 소곤소곤 물어보신 거야?ㅋ
As soon as we enter, the endless service at 'Chubby House' begins. The owner asked in a low voice, 'Would you like some steamed eggs on the house?' I quietly said 'Yes', but later noticed that the tables next to us and behind us also had them. 😄 What's this?!! If they were going to give it to everyone, why did they ask in a whisper? 😄
우리 따님은 왜 항상 고깃집에서 김치찌개를 시키는지 모르겠다. 고기를 먹으러 오는 건지 김치찌개를 먹으러 오는 건지, 잘 먹여 보겠다고 오는 고깃집에서 항상 벌어지는 실랑이...... "고기 먼저 먹어!!" , "싫어 밥하고 김치찌개부터 시켜줘!!". 꿀밤 한데 쥐 박고 싶은 거 간신히 참았다. 그래도 '뚱보집' 김치찌개 맛있더라........ 물론 난 '삼원 BBQ' 가 더 맛있는 거 같지만.
I never understand why my daughter always orders kimchi stew at a barbecue restaurant. Are we here for the meat or the kimchi stew? This is the constant argument at every barbecue place we go to... 'Eat the meat first!!', 'No, I want rice and kimchi stew first!!' I barely resist the urge to give her a playful flick on the forehead. But I have to admit, the kimchi stew at 'Chubby House' is delicious... although I personally think 'Samwon BBQ' does it better.
공기 밥을 시켰는데, 계란까지 얹어 주는 센스!!, '뚱보집' 은 손님의 감동 포인트를 아~~주 잘 아는 듯. 괜히 한 그릇 더 시키고 싶잖아.
When we ordered rice, they even topped it with an egg – such thoughtfulness! 'Chubby House' really seems to know how to touch their customers' hearts. It almost makes you want to order another bowl.

베트남은 야채지~. 그래도 '본가'를 이길 순 없어!! ( 쌈은 '본가'지....ㅎㅎ)
