요즘은 블로그 글을 쓰려고 브런치 카페를 가는 건지, 브런치를 먹으로 간 김에 블로그 글을 쓰는 건지 헛갈릴 정도😁😁 덕분에 부지런해지긴 했지만, 무언가의 목표를 가지고 행동을 한다는 건 책임감도 뒤따르는 일.
누군가 내 글을 보고 갔는데 글에서 느껴지는 긍정적 분위기나 맛을 못 느끼면 어쩌나 걱정도 살짝 올라오지.......... 만.....은... 무슨?!!! 그냥 써! 느끼는 대로....ㅎㅎ ' 응, 사람들 네 글 잘 안 봐....' 라며 자기 합리화 중
These days, it's confusing whether people go to brunch cafes to write blog posts or write blog posts because they went for brunch 😁😁. It has made me more diligent, but acting with a purpose brings its own responsibility. I worry slightly... what if someone visits a place based on my writing and doesn't feel the positive vibe or taste I described... But... what?! Just write! As you feel it.... 😄 "Yeah, people don't really read your posts...." Rationalizing to myself

The small scale of my still-growing blog turns out to be comforting...^^ In that sense, today I'll talk about a cafe where the cost-performance ratio and taste might not be the best, but the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. A lot of Westerners visit it (I weirdly like it because having Westerners around gives me the feeling of being in North America or Europe... feat. Husband: "Sigh... tsk tsk tsk")
'The Vintage Emporium Thảo Điền' 빈티지 스타일 상점. 그 이름에 맞게 분위기는 고풍스럽거나 빈티지스럽다.
"The Vintage Emporium Thảo Điền" is a vintage-style shop. True to its name, the atmosphere is either antique or vintage.
외부에서 본 전경이다. 앞서 말했듯이 'The Vintage Emporium Thảo Điền' 란 이름처럼 정문부터 풍기는 고풍스러운 느낌과 비교적 현대에 가까운 빈티지스러운 느낌까지. 두루 갖췄다. 그런데..... 저 풀장..... 흠;; 구글 지도에서 봤던 거보단 엄청 협소한 느낌.ㅎㅎ 이래서 실물이 중요하단...... 다;;😅😅 시원하게 풀장을 바라보면서 먹을까 했는데... 내부를 통해서 야외로 다시 나가는 문을 열자마자 ' 안 할래!! ㅋㅋ' 도로 인사이드. 방향 트시고...;; 자리 잡음.
From the outside, the view of "The Vintage Emporium Thảo Điền" embodies its name well, offering both an antique charm from the entrance and a more contemporary vintage vibe. It's a well-rounded mix. But... about that pool... it feels much smaller than what I saw on Google Maps. 😄 This is why seeing things in person matters... all of it. 😅😅 I thought about eating while enjoying the view of the pool, but as soon as I opened the door from inside to go outside, I was like, "Nope!! 😆" and went right back inside. Turned around and... found a seat.
내부 전경이다. 빈티지 느낌 내느라 엄청 공을 많이 들인 느낌. 저 아치형 창문 그냥 네모난 창문보다 훨씬 비싼데...... 그래서일까?!. 음식값이 비싼 게....?😅..ㅎㅎ. 내부 역시 구글의 사진보단 조금 작고 아담한 느낌. 사진상으로는 엄청 커 보였는데...
The interior of "The Vintage Emporium Thảo Điền" really feels like they've put a lot of effort into creating a vintage atmosphere. Those arched windows, which are much more expensive than regular square ones... maybe that's why? The food prices are a bit high? 😅...😄. Inside, it feels smaller and more quaint than the pictures on Google. It looked so much bigger in the photos...
드디어 음식이 나왔다. 프라운 스파게티와 아보카도와 연어가 얹어진 샌드위치를 시켰는데..... 저 아보카도와 연어가 얹어진 샌드위치가 문제였다;; 다 흘렸어... 먹은 게 없어...😫😫 친구가 'Avocado and Salmon on Toast'의 ON이 마음에 걸린다며..ㅋㅋ "그냥 얹어져 있는 거 아닐까?" 했는데... 맞았다ㅋ. 진짜 거짓말 안 하고 질질 질.... 아오.?!. 그냥 이쁘기만 한 걸로..^^
Finally, the food arrived. I ordered prawn spaghetti and a sandwich with avocado and salmon on top, but the issue was with that avocado and salmon sandwich; it all fell off... I hardly ate any of it...😫. My friend was joking about the "on" in "Avocado and Salmon on Toast"...😆 "Maybe it's just placed on top?" Turns out, she was right😆. Really, no kidding, it was just dripping off... Ah, just pretty to look at...^^
저번에 포스팅했던 'T.A KITCHEN' 닭 가슴살 샌드위치가 찐 이었는데....😅 다행히 프라운 스파게티는 맛있었다.
Last time I posted about 'T.A KITCHEN,' the chicken breast sandwich was really good..😅 Fortunately, the prawn spaghetti was delicious.
히트는 저 망고 민트!! 망고와 민트의 조합이라니?.. 반신반의하며 시켜봤는데 오우!! 맛있어서 두 컵 시켜 먹을 뻔;;ㅎㅎ
The real hit was that mango mint!! Mango and mint together? I was half-doubtful when I ordered it, but oh! It was so delicious I almost ordered a second cup;; 😄
이쁘다...! 블루 스카이 트리라니..? 실제로는 훨씬 더 이쁘다. 베트남에도 크리스마스는 온다.🧑🎄🎅🎄🎄It's beautiful...! A blue sky tree, really? It's even more beautiful in person. Christmas comes even to Vietnam. 🧑🎄🎅🎄🎄
이 카페는 음식의 맛이나 분위기에 비해 가격이 꽤 나가는 편이다. 음식이 맛이 없는 편은 아니지만 타오디엔 안에는 맛있고 저렴한 곳이 많이 있어서(음식 2 가지+음료 2 가지=100만 동 가까이 나왔음.아..뒤에 커피 추가했구나;;그래도 베트남물가에선 비쌈;;). 다시 찾아올까 싶기도 하지만.... 또 생각해 보면 카페를 맛과 가격으로만 가는 건 아니니까... 그리고 웨스턴들이 많이 오는 데는 이유가 있다. 분위기?!ㅎㅎ 일단 카페 분위기가 한몫하고, 음식의 맛보다는 그 비주얼이 한몫 단단히 한다.. 저 위에 사진을 보시라 진짜 못 찍는 1人으로서 저 정도로 찍혔다는 건 비주얼이 폭발했다는 뜻.😄😄 맛은 다음 브런치 카페에서 기약하며......이만..땀비엣 반^^🖐️
This cafe is quite pricey compared to the taste and atmosphere of the food. The food isn't bad, but there are many tasty and affordable places in Thao Dien (two dishes + two drinks nearly cost 1 million dong). I'm not sure if I'll visit again... but then again, judging a cafe solely by taste and price isn't the only thing... And there's a reason why many Westerners come here. Atmosphere, maybe?! 😄 The cafe's ambiance really contributes, and it's more about the visual appeal of the food than its taste. Look at the photo above; for someone who's not good at taking pictures, capturing it like this means the visuals were really striking. 😄😄 Looking forward to the taste at the next brunch cafe... for now... goodbye!
